We are proud to have been chosen to be the AB and BC rep for RIT Safety Solutions
History: Some might say safety is our job, but we think of it as more of a calling. Since 1998, we’ve been innovating, patenting, designing and manufacturing life safety products for Fire/Rescue and Law Enforcement. We were the first company to introduce the use of high temperature escape lines and the first to offer integrated pre-rigged emergency egress systems. We were also the first to develop a systematic approach to large area search. We serve an incredible variety of markets and are custom-designing new solutions every day.
We have gained considerable knowledge and expertise around safety products and components—but our greatest sense of pride comes from providing peace-of-mind to workers and their families.
Today, we have taken our safety knowledge and experience from the Fire Industry, and have incorporated these key findings to provide safety products to Construction, Military and Utility Companies across the US, Canada and Japan.
There will always be brave men and women, hard at work in unpredictable, extreme real-world situations. It’s our goal they feel confident knowing RIT Safety Solutions is working hard to keep them safe.

We don't just meet the standards, we helped create them.
When RIT Safety Solutions began designing and manufacturing safety solutions in 1998, we were charting new ground in many ways. When a safety standard existed, we set out to meet it. In some cases, we worked with search and rescue instructors to help create the standard. Why? Because we’re in the business of preventing injuries and saving lives. Nothing is more important, and nobody takes safety more seriously than we do.
RIT Safety Solutions is proud to say that every Emergency Egress System, Life Safety Belt and Harness in our product line has been thoroughly tested and certified by Underwriters Laboratory, a highly regarded, independent certification organization that has been testing public safety products for more than a century. UL certifies products to the standards set forth by ANSI and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Our systems have also passed the heat and flame engulfment test required for the SCBA unit (NFPA 1981 Standards) to withstand temperatures of 1800-2000 degrees for ten seconds without damage. NFPA 2012 requirement 400-600 degrees Celsius high temperature test for Rope.
RIT Safety Solutions is certified to ISO 9001:2008 for the Invention, Design and Development, Manufacture, Assembly and Distribution of safety equipment for Emergency Services Professionals and Industrial Safety.

Many companies say their products meet or exceed ANSI and NFPA Standards without going through the lengthy and expensive process of having them certified. If the product doesn’t have a certification label with a third party symbol, ask to see their test results.
